Wedding photographer at Ollerton Pumping House
I have photographed a wedding at Ollerton Pumping House in Ollerton, Nottinghamshire, and it is a venue that does a lot of the work for you.
The thing I noticed first was the light. Big arched windows put soft, even daylight into the room, so the ceremony and the getting-ready photos look natural without anything being staged. Add white jackets, soft florals and a floral arch and you have a day that photographs beautifully almost by itself.
There is also space to get away. Lucy and Jed took a quiet walk through the woods with their bridal party, which gave us some of my favourite frames of the day.
If you are getting married here, I would plan your couple portraits around the windows and a short woodland walk, keep the group photos brief, and leave room in the timeline for the moments in between.
